This partnership, rooted in the success of the inaugural edition, is set to empower 120 Nigerian tech talents, addressing crucial recruitment challenges faced by startups on the continent.

After the success of the first edition that witnessed 300 talents trained across 10 countries, the Talent 4 Startups Program is a testament to the commitment of Digital Africa in revolutionizing digital education in Africa. The goal for this edition is ambitious — to train 1,500 individuals in essential tech skills, contributing significantly to startup recruitment needs.

In collaboration with Univelcity, a prominent tech education organization based in Lagos, Nigeria, this initiative is strategically tailored to meet the specific needs of Nigerian youths. Univelcity, founded in 2016, has a remarkable track record of training over 15,000 individuals with a 90% job placement rate within six months post-completion.

Diversity and Inclusive Learning

The Talent 4 Startups 2nd Edition is dedicated to diversity, aiming for a minimum of 40% female participation among trainees. This fully-funded scholarship program, supported by Digital Africa, is scheduled to commence in March 2024. Applications are now open, closing on February 25, 2024.

  • Full-stack Development: Mastery in both Frontend and Backend development for dynamic web applications.
