Growth4Her, a pioneering initiative aimed at fostering the growth and development of women-led businesses in West and Central Africa, has launched its highly anticipated Investor Readiness Accelerator Programme. Despite the continent boasting the highest proportion of women entrepreneurs globally, access to funding remains a significant challenge for many. According to the African Development Bank (AfDB), Africa faces a staggering $42 billion gender financing gap, underscoring the urgent need for initiatives like Growth4Her to level the playing field and empower women in business.

Equipping Women Entrepreneurs for Success

The Growth4Her programme targets women-owned and operated businesses in Nigeria and Cameroon, offering them tailored support and guidance to enhance their investor readiness. Participants will benefit from a comprehensive curriculum covering key areas such as financial management, business strategy, market positioning, and pitching techniques. Additionally, the programme facilitates direct connections with investors, providing participants with invaluable networking opportunities and access to potential funding sources.

Program Eligibility and Criteria

To qualify for the Growth4Her programme, businesses must meet specific eligibility criteria, including:

  • Ownership or leadership involvement by women
  • Operational presence in Cameroon or Nigeria
  • Annual sales revenue within the range of US$35,000 to US$15 million
  • Commitment to participate in virtual and physical bootcamps and mentorship engagements
